Assessment of a Nano-Docetaxel Combined Treatment for Head and Neck Cancer

Objective: The combination of docetaxel (DTX) with Laser-Activated NanoTherapy (LANT), as a treatment for head and neck cancer (HNC), may enhance the therapeutic efficacy lower doses DTX, thereby minimizing effective dosage, side effects times. Material methods: Three HNSCC cell lines, Detroit 562, FaDu, CAL 27, were treated four combinations DTX + LANT to evaluate dose reduction viability. Results: 1 nM 5 was most treatment, increasing death over its corresponding monotreatment approximately 86.6%, 80.7%, 92.1% respectively. In resulted in highest percentage at 84.6%; FaDu 0.5 78.2% 82.4%, Conclusion: increase significantly doses, which could improve patient outcomes.
